the circus is in town

Tonight Sarah, Tye, Madison & I went to the circus! We all had such a great time. They had everything you could ever imagine at a three ring circus; a Trapese, Contortionist, Bengel Tigers, Elephants, Sheep Dogs, Motorcyclist on a high wire, Minature Horses... The kids were in awe the whole show. Since it was 1 mile from home it was so nice to get in & out so quickly!
Thanks Sarah for sharing your birthday with us! We love you & can't wait to do it again next year!

no training wheels!

Once Madison sets her mind to something she jumps right in! One look at her friend Tye riding without training wheels & she was ready to try it too! At 3 1/2 she is always looking for a new challenge. It only took her a few times around to figure out how to balance. Now on day 4 of no training wheels, she can stop & go on her own! She's having a blast riding with all of her newbie friends! We're SO proud!

While Madison & her friends enjoyed riding around & around together; Adam entertained himself with the Tonka truck!

My 32nd Birthday

Trent took the kids to the store to pick up an ice cream cake & roses for my birthday. The kids were so excited to choose the cake & flowers! Madison helped me blow out the candles & was more than happy to get the plates ready for cake before lunch time!

For birthday dinner we had a full house for girl's night at Z 'Tejas! Since Kristy, Sarah & my birthdays are all in January I thought it would be fun to share the joy with my fellow Capricorns & celebrate together! It was so much fun to get out with my favorite ladies & enjoy some awesome food & drinks. Thanks to everyone who was there to make my birthday feel so special this year. I couldn't ask for better friends!

Belated Christmas Morning Pics of 2009!

This year for Christmas I used some Christmas money & gave myself a new computer! Hopefully now with a functioning computer I can successfully blog & add photographs of our lives. I know it's after Christmas but I figured I'd add some of the photos that have been storing up on my camera! Since Trent's sister's family is in Africa & his parents are visiting them; we didn't get to celebrate our favorite season together. Christmas with the kids was great this year. They're such great ages it's so much fun to see the excitment in their little faces. Hopefully next year we can share this very special season & the joy that comes with it with Trent's family too!

The kids were great with Santa. Thank goodness Adam trusts his brave big sister & follows right along!

My sweet little monkey waiting to see Santa.

Stocking goodies!

As a child our family tradition started with my Great Grandmother, Lula. We would add pins, buttons, great grandmas earrings, Grandpas tie tacs... anything that made us think of our family that was no longer there to share Christmas with. Today I think my stocking weighs close to 5 pounds from all of the sentimental trinkets added over the years! Maddie's well on her way!

The dinosaur Daddy just HAD to buy!

Madison LOVES her chocolate!

We decided to leave Santa a cupcake this year since all the other houses left him cookies. Trent said next year he thinks Santa would like a steak instead!

We had a wonderful Christmas with all of the family! I can't wait until next year!
