Adventures with Grandma!!

Kay & I have taken the kids SO many places during her 2 week stay here with us! We've had such a great time & don't want her to go home to Florida! The day after they arrived we woke up bright & early to meet some of our friends & neighbors to catch Thomas the Train in Burnet! The kids had a great time on the train. They've always wanted to ride on a "Big train" as opposed to the little kiddie train at our local park.

Adam & I enjoying the ride!

Adam enjoying the view.

Grandma & Maddie

Our crazy crew!

Madison hopped a ride on the train!

We also took the kids to the Austin Zoo. There are so many great animals to see. It's amazing just how close you can get to them! We were so busy looking at animals & talking to the birds that I forgot to take pictures!! :)

The train was a nice ride through the woods & the view of the beautiful hill country isn't so bad either!

Madison & Adam loved watching the turtles putt putt along in their enclosure.

Getting so close to the lions is a little scary but so cool!

Galveston 2009

Last weekend Trent's parents; Chip & Kay & our family drove over to Galveston to visit Chip's cousin. They have a beautiful beach house just steps from the beach & minutes away from down town! It was so nice to get away for the weekend & comb the beach for sea shells.
Trent & Adam like swimming WAY out into the ocean while Madison & Mommy are safe on the shore.

My little cuties had a blast splashing in the ocean & digging in the sand.

Grandma & Madison playing on the shore. The kids have the best time playing with her.
She's a great Grandma!

The sun rise is always so beautiful on the beach.

We went on a horse & carriage ride through downtown. It was interesting to hear the history of Galveston!

We even went through the ATM in the carriage!! Wonder if they did that back in the day!? :P

We had to make a pit stop at Rocky Mountain Chocolate Shop for some caramel apples! Yumm!

Adam taking a break while he eats his apple on the park bench. He liked the apples without all of the good stuff. He must take after his Daddy! :)
